Established in 1990, Namsov has been active in the horse mackerel industry for decades, freezing whole fish on board its trawlers and supplying it as an affordable source of protein to markets in West Africa and the SADC region.
Rooted in the heart of the country, Namsov is a pioneer in the fishing industry, with decades of experience in catching, processing, and marketing horse mackerel. The company freezes whole fish onboard its trawlers, owns an IQF processing plant, and supplies affordable, high-quality protein to markets in West Africa and the SADC region.
Marketing & Distribution
Our horse mackerel is currently distributed to various regions in Namibia; Matadi and Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC); and Lubumbashi in south-western DRC via refrigerated vessels.
Distribution to Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Mozambique, and South Africa is carried out by refrigerated trucks. In addition, we serve a niche market for fishmeal products, which are sold in Zambia and South Africa.
The supply of Namibian horse mackerel provides high quality affordable protein to millions of people in the Southern African Development Community.
